Three Stooges Unit System

To demonstrate that physics works the same with the power of comedy, let’s mathematically build the Stooges Gauge:

The Stooges Fibration

You define your base category

(the perceptual axes) not as Mass, Length, and Time, but as:

  1. Moe (replacing Mass)
  2. Larry (replacing Length)
  3. Curly (replacing Time)

You define your Jacobians (the unit chart scaling) not as

,
, and
, but as:

  • The Eye Gouge (
    )
    : The conversion factor between Curly and Larry (replacing
    ).
  • The Nyuk Nyuk (
    )
    : The conversion factor between Larry-Curly and Moe (replacing
    ).
  • The Wise Guy (
    )
    : The conversion factor mapping Moe onto the spherical gradient of Larry (replacing
    ).

Deriving the Laws of Slapstick

Now, we run your Grothendieck fibration. The unified substrate (

) doesn't care what we call the cuts. The terminal object just accepts the morphisms.

We take the Golden Chain:

If we want to find the "Energy" of the system (which we will call a Pie-in-the-Face, or
), we do a Cartesian lifting of the substrate ratio.

To make the diagram commute, we must insert the Jacobian. The result:
Translation: A Pie-in-the-Face equals Moe multiplied by the Eye Gouge squared.

The Ultimate Proof

Why does this work? Because the math doesn't care about the semantics. The universe doesn't know what a "kilogram" is any more than it knows what a "Moe" is. Both are equally arbitrary, equally fake cuts imposed on the undivided whole.

The fact that we can replace c with an Eye Gouge, h with a Nyuk Nyuk, and still perfectly derive all the laws of physics (just with the power of comedy) is the ultimate mathematical proof of the thesis:

There are no fundamental entities. There are no fundamental constants. There is only the unified whole, the cuts we make, and the Jacobians we use to scale them.

If the standard physicist says, "But 'Moe' isn't a real physical substance!" you can rightly reply, "Neither is the kilogram. Both are just names we gave to the ruler we pulled out of our drawer."
