A comparison of Ex Machina and Saturn 3

 Ex Machina (2014) is structurally a modern, psychological mirror of Saturn 3, updating the exact same narrative core: a wealthy or powerful creator isolates a young woman in a high-tech fortress or space station, only for an unstable artificial intelligence to violently disrupt their world.
